Fort Stewart Soldiers Put Newly Acquired Tanks Through Paces

At Fort Stewart, Georgia, soldiers fired their newly acquired M1A1-SA Abrams tanks. They're with the 3rd Infantry Division’s Delta Tank Company, 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team.

Amphibious Training Event Begins Off Djibouti’s Coast

Army Cpl. Lie Wu, a 31-year-old wheeled vehicle mechanic originally from Xian, China, recently earned the coveted Ranger tab. Just 36 percent of Ranger School students pass the grueling course of instruction to obtain the tab. Wu said the hardest part for him was something that fueled his determination: the fear of disappointing others.

About the panelist: Debbie Hansen is best known as a freshwater fishing guide and outdoor writer. Her primary focus is on largemouth bass and peacock bass, fly fishing and on artificial baits along with inshore backcountry fishing in Southwest Florida, targeting redfish, snook and spotted seatrout in Estero Bay and Pine Island Sound. One of Debbie’s prized catch is a 10 lb bass. Captain Orlando Muniz full time charter captain in Miami, FL and is best known for live bait kite fishing for sailfish and bottom/wreck fishing. Captain Mark Henderson most sought after species is King being from North Carolina, he slow-trolls a lot with various live bait, such as: bluefish, menhaden, blue runners, cigar minnows, sardines, goggle eyes. He is also known to target and catch pelagic species such as, mahi, wahoo, cobia, and amberjack. Christopher Westhelle is out of central Florida and is a lifetime lake, bass fisherman. 12.5 lb catch is his record high. Chris is a volunteer boat captain for youth tournaments such as FLW and BASS division. Most notable is that Chris is one of ACR’s newest SurvivorClub members.
