3 Florida Officers Cleared in Fatal OIS of Motorist in Parking Lot
Three officers with the Lake Mary (FL) Police Department have been cleared of wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of a man who pointed a gun at them in the parking lot of a shopping center in May.
Three officers—Martin A. Neal, Robert Ritter and William Rodwick—were lawful when they shot and killed 34-year-old David Romansky, prosecutors said after reviewing a report by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Romansky’s brother—Christopher Romansky—believed his brother "planned" the attack.
"He [David Romansky] was going to pull a gun on officers and they were going to do what they were trained to do," Christopher Romansky said.

Baltimore Police Break Ground on $2.5 Million Stable for Mounted Unit
Officials from the Baltimore Police Department, the Baltimore city government, and the B&O Railroad Museum held a ceremonial groundbreaking on Tuesday to mark the construction of a new stable facility for the department's mounted unit.
The unit has operated out of a former car dealership downtown since the 1970s, but a yearlong fundraising drive has raised about $1.3 million for a new facility on the railroad museum 40-acre property in Southwest Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Construction on the 13,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin by mid-November, and take roughly six to eight months.
The Baltimore Police Department mounted unit—in its 130th year—is considered to be the country’s oldest continuously operating mounted police unit.

VIDEO: Florida K-9 Takes Down Man Suspected of Attempted Kidnaping"
A K-9 with the Pasco County (FL) Sheriff's Office helped take down a man who allegedly attempted to kidnap a child from a home northwest of Tampa on Monday.
Body-worn video showed the K-9—named "Titan"—grab and hold onto 24-year-old Kevin Wilson, who had reportedly climbed into a second-story window, grabbed a child and fled.
The sheriff's office said that there was a no-contact order in place, and Wilson was not supposed to have contact with the mother or to enter the home. The child's uncle grabbed his gun and confronted Wilson in the front yard before the 24-year-old released the child and fled, according to Fox News.
Titan and his handler found the suspect in a wooded area and took him into custody.
Wilson has been charged with interference with custody, child neglect in addition to violating his no-contact order, and is being held at the Pasco County Jail.
