Military Spouse of the Year Lauded for Devotion to Gold Star Families

Her soldier husband was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2013, but she later remarried a Green Beret, and now she's been honored as the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year, at the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore Annual Awards Gala.

Four members of the All-Navy Men's Volleyball team were at the beach for recreation when they realized two teenage girls were in trouble approximately 75 yards from shore. Because of the actions of the four men, the teens are alive today.
