Face of Defense: Navy Officer’s Career Follows Unusual Path

Navy Lt. Adam Patterson’s military career hasn’t followed what most people might call the “usual” path. He’s experienced an evolution of sorts, emerging from the sea and taking to the air, starting as a submariner and transitioning to become an aviator. Today Patterson flies a search-and-rescue MH-60 Seahawk helicopter.
