Face of Defense: Soldier Excels in Student Chef Competition

Army Pfc. Olena Konotop, a culinary arts specialist based at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., competed to be named student chef of the year during the 43rd Annual Joint Culinary Training Exercise. Konotop strongly believes that she can achieve anything by working hard and putting her mind to the task, which her supervisors say is reflected in her work.
