In 2016, Fedor Konyukhov, a 65-year- Russian adventurer, broke a 14-year-old record for the fastest circumnavigation of the Earth in a hot air balloon in just over 11 days, and he is not stopping there. Iridium is now supporting three additional projects with him, including rowing around the world without entering the ports, a flight to space on a thermal balloon, and the first non-stop flight by plane around the Globe using the energy of sunlight.
