Oregon Police Recruiter Fired for Giving Applicant Answers to Exam Questions

A recruiter with the Portland (OR) Police Department, who allegedly gave an applicant the questions and answers for an entry-level job interview, was reportedly fired this year for "significant misuse of authority," according to The Oregonian.

The Oregonian identified the recruiter as Officer Timmy Evans—who reportedly "had a passion for helping women and underrepresented people" joining the department.

Evans reportedly provided the applicant with confidential information on why she had failed a prior background inquiry done in 2010 and 2011, according to the bureau's summary of the case.
